Argentina advanced to the final after a hard-fought 3-2 penalty shootout victory over Colombia in the first semifinal on Tuesday night. The match was a tense and close affair, with both teams having chances to win it in regulation and extra time.
Colombia took the lead in the first half through Luis Diaz, but Argentina equalized in the second half through Lautaro Martinez. The match went to penalties, and Argentina prevailed thanks to three saves from goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
Argentina will now face either Brazil or Uruguay in the final. Brazil is the favorite to win the tournament, but Argentina will be confident of their chances after their victory over Colombia.
The Copa America final will be played on Sunday at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
