Jeffrey Herlings MXGP World Champion

After a weekend full of emotions, the 2022 Motocross World Championship ended in Montearagón with the coronation of Jeffrey Herlings as the new MXGP World Champion.
The Dutchman, who had already secured the title mathematically in the previous round, managed to finish the season in style by achieving his ninth overall victory of the year.
In the first race of the day, Herlings started very well and took the lead, but he crashed into a rut and this caused him to lose a few positions. After this setback, the KTM rider recovered quickly and set a furious pace to finish third.
In the second race, Herlings came out again to the attack and took the lead from the start. On this occasion, there were no falls or mistakes and the Dutch rider led from start to finish, crossing the finish line with more than 16 seconds of advantage over his pursuers.
With this victory, Herlings sealed the 2022 MXGP World Championship with authority, adding a fifth title to his impressive career.
